Celebrating Diversity & Equal Opportunity in California
From the Heart
Working with a full spectrum of diverse clients—served by a full spectrum of
diverse employees—was the core vision laid out in civil rights legislation Titles 6 and 7. What legislation can't mandate, and can't envision,
is the satisfaction that comes on a personal level when you help a group of people—that weren’t previously being
reached—and as a result both the people and the environment "win."
These stories detail a bit of the journey and successes experienced by
NRCS California in pursuing full inclusion
of the human family in the pursuit of "Helping People Help the Land." In the coming months we will add to this
collection of stories as we celebrate the spirit and the results of our continuing journey of working with all
people to build a sustainable natural resource base on private land in California.
