Public Affairs Roles & Responsibilities

support agency outreach to the public and the media.
Mission
Through products,
training, and consultation, the public affairs team informs,
educates, coordinates, and communicates with the media and
targeted audiences, to achieve understanding, acceptance and

news releases, brochures, briefing papers, background
information, videos, slideshows, displays and other
materials to assist public understanding of conservation
programs and activities.
- Developing and
coordinating communications planning for programs and
projects.
- Developing conservation
outreach materials that employees can use to serve
targeted groups.
- Working with conservation
officials and partners to coordinate and implement public
