California NRCS Engineering

The California NRCS Engineering Section provides engineering services and technical support to all programs with special emphasis in design, Emergency Water Protection, water management, water quality, geology, water supply, and landscape architecture.  We also work with technical experts in the Resource Technology, Water Resources Planning, Public Affairs, and Regional Soils Sections as well as our experienced field office personnel.

Mission

Our mission is to provide engineering leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, improve, and sustain our natural resources, environment, and economy.  Our vision is to help local people make informed decisions for a healthy and economically viable land.

The NRCS California Engineering section is responsible for formulating and recommending state technical policies in conformance with national standards.  The section is also responsible for NRCS dam safety and engineering staffing and training needs.
